Hi There,

I’m Wendy Harrop, a former award-winning West Coast wedding planner turned East Coast barn lover curating fabulous opportunities for you to say YES to yourself!

I’ve wanted to live in New England my entire life.

Growing up in California, I dreamed of one day living on the East Coast near my mother’s family. I loved EVERYTHING about my childhood trips from the seasonally appropriate weather to the gorgeous scenery on the freeway!

Three times as an adult I packed all of my belongings for a cross-country move only to unpack twice, still in CA.

PIVOTAL MOMENT

THE

As they say, the “third time is the charm” and in 2013 I made the move to New England. As this life-long dream continued to grow in my heart, a desire for a bed & breakfast was born. The perfect transition out of wedding planning while still using my skills and gifts. Unfortunately, the Phineas Wright House was the only property I looked at that was not already a B&B.

No stranger to quieting my desires and making the most of the experience in front of me, I fully embraced this dreamy barn life and quickly found many ways to incorporate what I loved; celebrating people and the amazing moments in their lives as well as the breathtaking beauty right outside my door.

They say that creativity strikes when you're at play and this dreamy barn life had turned me into an idea factory!

THE

The past decade has been filled with delights including the International Adoption of the most amazing human I’ve ever met, Amelia Jade, the growth of a supportive community, and the continued stream of new fabulous opportunities to foster creativity and connection through workshops, dinners, events, and experiences.

It has also brought changes that have allowed for a long-time dream to become a reality as the PWH began hosting farm stays as a bed & breakfast in 2023.

BIG LEAP

WORDS I LIVE BY

I'm only available for what delights me...

If these dreams are in you, then these dreams are for you...

The "how" is not my responsibility...

HERE & NOW

Every day, as a part of my morning routine of journaling, meditating, praying, and reading, I ask God, "How may I be of service?" and whatever drops in is what I focus on that day.

I know I am here to create opportunities for women like you. To hold space for you and your dreams whether you are in a discovery, planting, or harvesting season.

I'm eager to share the goodness of my dreamy barn life with you!

A small New England farm lends itself to pivots, second chances, and trying new things.

It's alive, growing, and expanding just like me... just like you.

There are seasons on the farm and seasons in our lives that require new practices and loads of grace.

I curate opportunities for those transitions to feel purposeful and impactful while you feel welcomed, anticipated, and celebrated.

I'm eager to see what comes next. I hope you’ll join me...

WHAT’S NEXT…

I'm eager to learn more about you! Whether you choose to start with my podcast, follow me on Instagram, or dive right into a farm stay or culinary trip to France, I'm thrilled to witness you say YES to yourself.

With love and gratitude,

Wendy Harrop

PHINEAS WRIGHT HOUSE

The Phineas Wright House was built in 1785 by the third reverend of First Parish Church, Bolton, Massachusetts.

In the last 239 years, only five other families have lived in this great antique house and I plan to be here for a very long time.

THE LIBRARY…

The library invites you to linger. Settle in with a book or an after-dinner drink. It is the room I "lose time" in.

THE GREAT ROOM…

The Great Room was formally two rooms with a center hallway. The original fireplaces, one with a beehive oven and stock pot swing arm. The former kitchen and dining rooms now boast a baby grand piano and two sitting areas.  Enjoy leisurely afternoons in conversation with a cocktail from the self-serve honor bar.

TO STAY HERE…

A stay at the Phineas Wright House is a pattern-interrupt. Time stands still as you unplug from the busyness of your day-to-day and rediscover the escape of a great book or even write your own. Enjoy the beauty of the property, take a hike on local trails, visit the winery in town, or help me with my chores. Your time here is a blank canvas that we can create together. Come alone, bring your partner or a couple of friends. Paint, create, write, take a cooking class, or have me curate a full itinerary for your stay.

The possibilities are endless.

INTERESTING FACTS

I bet you didn’t know about Phineas Wright House

After Phineas Wright died, the fourth minister of First Parish Church built an "apartment" over the carriage house and rented the Main House back to Mrs. Wright for a penny a year.

My 82-year-old neighbor with the sheep farm moved to the Phineas Wright House when she was in 8th grade.

The Edes family used the property as a dairy farm for 2 generations

There were formal gardens here that are cataloged in the Smithsonian Institute and have been the subject of many publications including Victoria Magazine, Home & Garden, and a stop on the Victory Garden Tour.

The original property was a 50-acre parcel and it is my dream to restore that lot to its original size.  Big dreams! Big dreams, I say!

Experience the goodness for yourself with a FARM STAY or follow along on Instagram for the day-to-day happenings and the perfect garden-inspired craft cocktail to celebrate the end of another fabulous week.
